Whole Wheat Waffles


  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup of wheat bran
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups warm milk
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


  1. Preheat waffle iron
  2. In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar with a whisk. Stir in the milk, butter and vanilla.
  3. Add flour, wheat bran, salt and baking powder. Mix well until no lumps.
  4. Spray waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray.
  5. Ladle the batter into a preheated waffle iron and cook until golden and crispy. Serve immediately with fresh fruits, syrup or nut butter!
