Ingredients:
- 125 g (1 cup) butter, chopped
- 200 g (1.5 cup) firmly packed brown sugar
- 120 g (4 cups) Corn Flakes
- 200 g (1 cup) dark chocolate
- Sea salt flakes
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F on convention setting (if you don’t have a convection setting, a regular preheat is fine). Line a 20 x 30 cm / 8 x 12 “ baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Heat butter and sugar in a large sauce pan over medium heat. Bring to a boil. Cook, stirring for a further 30 seconds or until thickened. Reduce heat to low. Add Corn Flakes and stir until well combined
- Spoon cornflakes mixture into prepared pan. Use the back of a spoon to spread evenly. Place parchment paper over top and press paper to flatten the mixture and cover any holes. Remove paper and bake the slice for 5 mins. Set aside for 20 mins to cool slightly.
- Place chocolate in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on medium, stir every 30 seconds until melted and smooth. Pour chocolate over cornflakes mixture. Use a spatula to smooth the surface. Sprinkle with salt and place in the fridge for an hour until set.
