Savoury French toast

Ingredients:

  • 2 pieces whole wheat bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk (or soy beverage!)
  • 2 tsp thyme
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp minced garlic
  • ½ tsp salt and pepper each
  • Spinach for topping

Directions:

  1. Whisk the eggs, milk, thyme, oregano, parmesan cheese, garlic, salt, and pepper together in a mixing bowl until well combined.
  2. Heat the frying pan on medium and grease it with butter or nonstick spray. Soak each side of the whole wheat bread in the egg, milk and seasoning mixture. Transfer to frying pan.
  3. Cook each slice of bread for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Flip and repeat on the other side.
