What’s Growing ON? seed kits. New!!
Our What’s Growing ON? seed kits continue to be very popular, so we’re making them even better and more useful in your classroom.
The kit from Good in Every Grain will still be free and it will still help Ontario students understand how plants grow and how important grains are. This year we’ve added oat seeds to the kits and we’re updating the accompanying teacher’s guide, which will be released in time for Earth Day, on April 22, 2023.
Seed kits contain soybean, wheat and oat seeds along with seed cups and soil wafers. If you are using the seed kits now, note that the current teacher’s guide does not include activities for planting oats, so please enjoy the activities for soy and wheat seeds. If you wait until spring to use the kits, the new teacher’s guide will incorporate activities related to oats.
We’d love to hear how the seed kits work for your class! Please share the fun with us on Twitter (@GoodinGrain), Instagram (@goodineverygrain) or Facebook (@GoodinEveryGrain), or by email to web@gfo.ca . And if you have tips to use these in your classroom for other teachers, please share those too by email or on social.
