Reuben DeJong, 52 weeks of #YourFarmers
We manage the resources we have as efficiently as possible so that this farm will be here for generations to come.
Reuben grows corn, soybeans, wheat, and canola (new this year) in the hills of Northumberland County. Reuben is a graduate of Kemptville College (now the University of Guelph’s Kemptville Campus) and a third generation farmer.
Along with his wife Rebecca and their son Theodore, Reuben is trying to be as efficient as possible by using many forms of precision agriculture technology. Their crop is grown with variable rate fertilizer and seed monitored with satellite imaging throughout the season.
