- 1 ½ tsp baking powder

- Pour into the jar the rolled oats and pack down. Add half of the white sugar, chocolate chips, and the brown sugar (in order). After each sugar layer, you’ll want to pack it down a little with a spoon or something similar. Pour in half the flour, all the baking powder and all the salt together.
- Hint: You may have to pack the flour mixture down periodically to make sure it all fits.
- Pour in the second half of the white sugar, chocolate chips, brown sugar and then the flour mixture last.
- Once all the ingredients are in the jar, put on the tin lid, add a piece of circular fabric or paper doily for decoration and screw on the lid.
